This Grade II Listed Building in Thurrock is situated in the Green Belt landscape.  The project required a design solution to improved circulation and fire safety within the building.  With our Conservation expertise and an understanding of the historic arrangement of the original Georgian house we were able to propose a reinstatement of internal partitions along with careful attention to their construction and period correct detailing which was informed by original mouldings and evidence from within the building.  The outcome was a quick Approval process by the Local Authority which has protected the safe use of the building.  The scheme has reinstated original proportioning and circulation whilst solving the clients needs as well as enhancing the historic asset.
